Description of Orion 42mm Lanthanum Superwide2" Eyepiece

For deep-sky observing, you can't beat our Lanthanum Superwide series with their 65-deg apparent field of view and undistorted flat fields. These state-of-the art eight-element eyepieces feature multi-coated lenses and ample 20mm eye relief, enough for eyeglass wearers to take in the entire field of view. A single rare-earth Lanthanum lens has been incorporated into one of the eight elements to eliminate visual aberrations and increase image sharpness. Other features include rubber grip ring, internal filter threads, and soft rubber eyeguards. Each fits both 1.25" and 2" focusers or diagonals, except for the 42mm, which fits 2" only.
